RETEACH BREECH WORKSHOP IN SEDONA AZ
July 9 and 10, 2022 : Reteach Breech Seminar with Dr. Stu Fischbein
Join us in beautiful Sedona, Arizona, for a weekend full of breech and twin home birth training, fellowship with birth workers and practitioners, plus some fun special events unique to this immersive training weekend.
Dr. Stuart Fischbein, MD, OBGYN, is coming to Sedona to teach evidence-based breech and twin home birth skills, including hands-on practice with a simulator. We will go over various scenarios that may come up while attending breech and twin births at home, including how-tos for breech maneuvers, breech extraction of a second twin, and internal podalic version.
Dr. Stu is an outspoken advocate of informed decision making, the midwifery model of care, and human rights in childbirth.
He is a known worldwide for his expertise and skills in breech and twin home birth, and has co-authored a book “Fearless Pregnancy: Wisdom & Reassurance from a Doctor, a Midwife and a Mom”, appeared as an expert in multiple documentaries including “More Business of Being Born,” “Happy Healthy Child,” “Reducing Infant Mortality,” and “Heads Up: The Disappearing Art of Vaginal Breech Delivery,” and has authored three peer-reviewed papers on home birth in general, and breech and twin vaginal birth specifically.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to safely attend vaginal breech home birth, or to refresh your skills if you’re currently attending breech and twin births. Come learn with us and gain the skills that will give you confidence to serve the women and families in your community.
The cost to attend this amazing weekend is $740 and includes lunch and snacks as well as a bonus nature walk to Oak Creek on Friday. Spaces are limited to 14 people only. Please contact us asap if you wish to join!
Workshop Location
The workshop will take place in the private residence of Fabiola Merchant in Sedona AZ.
Fabiola's home is a retreat house often used for spiritual retreats. The property is situated on 1.5 acres of land overlooking the beautiful rock formation known as Cathedral Rock. The property has walking paths to oak creek which is only five minutes walking distance. The retreat house is a two story 4,200 square foot home with 7 bedrooms & 5.5 bathrooms.
The workshop will take place in the chapel room which seats 20 people comfortably.
